October 20th, 2013

Today some of the pussycats went down to cheer at the BUPA Great Birmingham Run, helping the marathon runners to 'keep that drive alive'.  The girls had a great time supporting everyone, especially our very own Loretta Soffe who did amazingly well, completing the marathon in only 1.46 hours!  Well done to Loretta and all other runners today!

October 10th, 2013

The UoB Sport Video filming went well today for the Birmingham Pussycats with a group stunt and dance section included.  It was filmed in the Aston Webb hall, where we were joined by members of all sports teams at the university.   We're all really excited to see the finished product!

September 28th/29th, 2013

Tryouts this weekend were a huge success, which saw us welcoming over thirty new kittens into the squad!  Over 120 girls tried out and so a huge well done to the girls - welcome to Pussycats!

Once again, Pussycats cheered the Lions on in their final game of the season against Hertfordshire Hurricanes, where they were victorious with a 17-13 score, taking the power back and becoming national champions once again!  Huge congratulations to the boys!!

March 25, 2013

Pussycats battled the snow to make it to ICC Nationals this weekend and once again put on amazing performances.  Hip Hop came in second place and All Girl Level 3 came in first yet again meaning that Birmingham Pussycats are now NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! What a fantastic end to the 2012/13 season for Birmingham Pussycats, and a great way to finish for our graduating pussycats!!

This weekend, Pussycats competed in Future Cheer 'Saturday Night Fever' and sweeped the board.  The girls did fantastically well with group stunt All Girl Level 5 coming in first place, Hip Hop coming in fourth place and All Girl Level 3 not only came in first place but were crowned GRAND CHAMPIONS! Brilliant weekend for the Birmingham Pussycats!

The Pussycats Showcase went very well for the Competition Squad, Group Stunt and Hip Hop Squad. Pussycats performed for the rest of the squad, the Lions and all other spectators in preparation for Future Cheer at the weekend!

November 3, 2012

Pussycats delivered an amazing half time performance at the Lion's first game of the season, where they defeated Nottingham Outlaws 71-6.  The girls cheered throughout the whole game and celebrated hard with the boys afterwards!

Following sports fair signups and tryouts, we're please to welcome lots of new girls to our squad!  All new kittens have been assigned a cat and we are now preparing and training for xpLosION!

At the Future Cheer 'Saturday Night Fever' competition this weekend, Pussycats brought home 1st place for All Girl Level 3 and 4th place for our first ever Hip Hop routine.  Congratulations Pussycats! Videos are available on the videos page!

On Sunday 5th February the Pussycats celebrated the biggest American Football match of the 

year, the SuperBowl, alongside the Birmingham Lions. Ten of our girls provided the pre-match 

entertainment, in front of a very packed Walkabout! The girls did brilliantly, and contributed to 

a very successful fundraising night for the Lions.
